Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one time without having to swap out devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its affordable price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and vacuums well too. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can decide to let the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. Unlike last year's model it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

This is a great feature that allows the X40 to prevent damage to floors from the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. 4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available however, it comes with a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and smaller dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning process, and there are a lot of features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. robot vacuum cleaners reviews www.robotvacuummops.uk can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
